D E A R E S T P A R E N T,
Grief is a natural response to any loss, and the death of a child is no exception. People respond to grief in different ways, going through a range of emotions and moods for months or even years.
Some may deny what has happened or try to cast blame through feelings of anger or guilt. Others may feel emptiness, an intense longing for their child and overwhelming sadness.
These responses are ALL normal during grief and they allow you to arrive at the point of accepting the reality of the death, which is the truly important part.
While there is no wrong way to grieve, it is extremely important that you do work through your grief, as unresolved grief can have a lifelong, negative impact on your emotional, physical, and mental health.
Following the death of a child, every parent hopes and desires the healing of their loss, and for a day that will come when they can find joy in life again without forgetting their child.
The Sorrow To Serenity 2023 LIVE Ramadan Coaching Programme is designed to support you in your grief journey by empowering you to find peace from the pain of your child’s death.

What Previous Sorrow To Serenity Attendees Said

"I am less fragile. I think about my babies in a more positive light. I have settled into my job again and I don't feel as worthless as I use to. I am beginning to look forward to things again. 27 days ago, I cried for weeks, whenever someone mentioned them, but now I feel stronger. I feel as if I picked myself up from the floor (literally) and started walking again.. I don't replay the day I miscarried as much as I did in the past. I am more grateful knowing where they are and that they are being well looked after. I don't push people away as much as I did in the beginning. I feel more open to speaking about my experience now than I did before."

"Hafizah's style is excellent. She makes me feel she's talking directly to me. She makes me feel valued, otherwise there is almost shame attached to grief."

"I have been able to look beyond my grief. By that I mean I feel I can own it and it is ok to be a different person. I have more focus. I have learnt strategies that have helped alter my way of thinking."

"All the sessions have resonated with me in a deeper way, but the Visualising Jannah one really hit me hard. Because I documented what I have been feeling since my loss, every word, every breath, every second. To be honest, I haven't reread it. It is probably 3 pages long, but I have not read it again once I was complete. The session of Visualising Jannah touched my heart, it dragged my feelings back to surface. It made me put what I have visioned into words. I've never said it loud until this session. I was always too scared, I never even told my husband about it. So the fact that I have spoken about it and everyone in the group understands me, makes me feel whole."

"Loved to see so many bereaved parents together. It's good to be on a platform where others have similar situations like yourself and see how they are coping."

"Everyone really understands you. They are not just saying they understand, they ACTUALLY do. It makes me feel less alone."

"What kind of life do I want to have? What kind of role model do I want to be for my children? A great one inshallah. I've been wanting to journal for ages but never really known how to. The session woke me up."

"Hafizah’s knowledge in this field is amazing. Her delivery and style is amazing! She prompts you to dig deep and bring out the real issue not just what’s on the surface, and gives practical steps to move forward. That’s the hardest part and you’re doing that (through this programme)."

"The way Hafizah gets to the core of issues, I feel like I finally have a SatNav that will help me on my journey, otherwise I felt like I was in a pool just thrashing around."

"I love the fact of how Hafizah takes the Quran and makes it relevant to the topic to match our situations."

"This coaching programme has been very much needed in my life. It gets us to think very deeply about God, feelings around the loss, our lives, our faith, everything basically. Hafizah wants us to make changes for ourselves and she has a wonderful way of making me feel better about myself! It's an active and engaging programme but if you want changes, you've got to do the homework."

"Each session just gets better and better."

"Hafizah is so empathetic and can always give the proper advice. When I shared my story, I also received a plethora of support from the rest of the group. I see us as a team. Also, the other parents reading my comments and Hafizah actually taking time to reply and uplift the parents. That is a selfless act."

"I know people tell you all the time how much they appreciate you doing this, but I want to tell you that the work you do I recognize to be very exhausting. What I mean by that is I think about how exhausting it is to live what I’m going through everyday. And what you do everyday is you continue to lift people up in there darkest times. If I can imagine it, it’s like all of the bereaved parents are constantly rolling down a hill with their tragedy and you’re there to pick up back up and roll up back up the hill. Thanks for all you continue to do."

"I am benefiting tremendously from the programme as I have had 6 years to process my grief. This is excellent what you are doing. I sincerely hope new bereaved parents take advantage of everything you are doing to get comfort faster and quicker."
